Styling your portrait session should be thought out and planned. We don't want to leave anything to chance on the day.

First let’s think about the overall theme, look and feel. Then colour palette, warm, cool, neutral or bright.

Hair styling and make up, aim for something special, light evening makeup and start with your hair down and we can build other styles as we go.

Wardrobe. Let’s bring on the Ritz, look for something special, tight fitting, sequins, lace, evening, ball dress, nothing is too over the top, bring lingerie to suit your dress style.

Accessories. You can never have too many accessories. Chunky necklaces, scarves, headpieces, crowns, tiaras, flowers and more.

I hear you ask ‘what about shoes? ‘. Most of the images are not full length, but if you feel extra special in that pair of heels bring them too. We'll try and get them in shot.

We have several dresses (various sizes) and many accessories in-house for you to use alongside what you bring. Some clients have even rented a dress that they love for the day. Ask friends and family maybe they have just the right dress sitting in their wardrobe.

If you are looking for inspiration please visit my Pinterest page (Geraldine Holly Photography) and have a look through wardrobe, headpieces, and any of the relevant gallerie boards. If something stands out let me know which one and we can re-create something similar.

Remember this shoot is for you, make sure you love how you feel and look.
